Your children are so precious. Enjoy them while they are little, they grow up way too fast!
BTW I recently posted about reverting to classic template from Beta Blog and everything will be the same for editing your template as before. Then cutomize template and you can use the page elements for Beta. Hope that helps you to jump back and forth.
